Recently Adam Doree & Alex Wollenschlaeger at Kikizo had the chance to interview LucasArts on their upcoming release, LEGO Star Wars: The Complete Saga. Some interesting points were raised, such as what new additions would be present in the game to make it more than a re-release. New features will include new characters to play as, new gameplay modes, and new levels to play.

Perhaps the most anticipated version of the game will be the Wii release. Players will use the motion-based remote to control their characters. The most interesting quote in the interview was also on the Wii version.

“Already, I’m sure, you can guess what that means. For the first time ever you’ll be able to swing the Wii remote as a lightsaber. It’s not going to be the last time, but it is the first time.”

Does LucasArts already have the Wii lightsaber game in development that everyone has been waiting for? Or is it still something years away? Time will tell but it is encouraging to hear nonetheless.

LucasArts announced today that a LEGO Indiana Jones game will be hitting consoles in summer 2008. The game is developed by the same team at Traveler’s Tales and will feature missions from the trilogy of Indiana Jones movies.

Project Lead Haden Blackman and Producer Julio Torres along with Secret Apprentice actor Sam Witwer were on a panel at Celebration Europe to answer questions and discuss aspects of Force Unleashed. The important excerpts of the panel have been posted at the official Star Wars blog. Some information is already known but there are also some new bits including a small piece about multiplayer and a potential Force sequal.
