Recently Adam Doree & Alex Wollenschlaeger at Kikizo had the chance to interview LucasArts on their upcoming release, LEGO Star Wars: The Complete Saga. Some interesting points were raised, such as what new additions would be present in the game to make it more than a re-release. New features will include new characters to play as, new gameplay modes, and new levels to play.
Perhaps the most anticipated version of the game will be the Wii release. Players will use the motion-based remote to control their characters. The most interesting quote in the interview was also on the Wii version.
“Already, I’m sure, you can guess what that means. For the first time ever you’ll be able to swing the Wii remote as a lightsaber. It’s not going to be the last time, but it is the first time.”
Does LucasArts already have the Wii lightsaber game in development that everyone has been waiting for? Or is it still something years away? Time will tell but it is encouraging to hear nonetheless.
