Some of you may not believe me after my “horrible” April Fools prank a couple years ago, but if you don’t believe me, check the official LucasArts twitter feed. The Force Unleashed is coming to both PC and Mac, with an extra level based on Hoth. The game will be titled the “Sith Edition” and also be released for Xbox 360 and PS3. It is not clear whether the Hoth level will be separate DLC for those who have already bought the game. No word on a release date yet, or whether we will see a Steam release as the twitter post specifies “in stores”. Good news for all you PC people who can finally stop whining, but slightly underwhelming news for a “world exclusive announcement”.

“The PC being the gaming platform that it is, someone with a $4,000 high-end system would definitely be able to play the Euphoria, the DMM and really technical elements of the game. But someone with a low-end PC would have a watered down experience, they would have to turn all the settings down and it wouldn’t be the same game,” Suey said.
One might ask why not give the PC version a more scaled down version of the game so that it would reach a wider install base, well Suey says that would not be taking advantage of what the $4,000 rigs can do, so “it’s going to be not as good or only for a select few people.”

Saying the “PC people can stop whining” sounds like a console crybaby that was hoping to finally have one game that never made it to the superior gaming platform: the PC.
Doesn’t matter though… LucasArts has effectively alienated their PC market base with this delay bulls–t… and as a result, plenty of people will be pirating the hell out of this game rather than paying for it.
People would be pirating the game anyways, and now they can justify it to themselves “this game got shit reviews on consoles, and has taken forever on PC, so I am just going to pirate it” which is bullshit. There was still time and effort made to port this to the PC. They are giving fans exactly what they wanted. This is a classic example of LucasArts fans never being satisfied. I am not saying I am excited by the announcement because I have already played the game for Wii and Xbox 360, but I am definitely glad they are showing the PC some love. It’s a good sign of things to come with this plus the revival of their old franchises. But I will absolutely not put up with bullshit piracy excuses.

Piracy cannot be the only excuse though… I know a lot of electronic shops in the gulf countries that easily mod 360’s & PS3’s… It doesn’t require any hardware, just some flashing to do… Nevertheless i am really happy this game is makin it to the pc market as i have played this only for the ps2… Story doesn’t bother me though since it was less than mediocre to be precise… I’m up for the gameplay aspect though… Also i hope this is not being done to divert us(pc gamers) from the fact that swtor will be only a MMO and not up for grabs as a SP game…

Just read somewhere that this decision was taken after a change in the top level management… If that’s the case i dont blame lucasarts or haden blackman for that matter… Just that idiotic hypocrite….. Man i cannot say how glad i’am though…. I was browsing thru this site a few days ago n was thinkin”Huh imagine i scroll down and see force unleashed for PC???” (I’m not lyin… This was actually runnin thru my head and BAM there it was… God does really work in mysterious ways or could this be due to LAW of ATTRACTION??? Hmmm……
