It appears that more downloadable content is on the way for The Force Unleashed as new achievements have been added to the game. The below screenshot should do all the talking:

So an additional 120 points worth of achievements are showing up, including ones to defeat both Boba Fett and Obi-Wan! It also sounds like it will be based on Tatooine from each of the achievements.

As any news related to Force Unleashed is pretty rare now that the game has come and gone, LucasNews is definitely the site to be to keep up with all things LucasArts.

After rumors about this very game, EW.com has gotten the first look at Republic Heroes, the newest Star Wars game being developed by Krome Studios for release this fall. Wait, the same Krome studios that developed the less than stellar Star Wars: Clone Wars for Wii (and Force Unleashed for Wii, PS2 and PSP)? Yes, the very same. Republic Heroes is being made for all platforms including PC and features co-op play and a variety of playable characters including Anakin Skywalker, Obi-Wan Kenobi, Mace Windu and others. The Force Unleashed has been named to have the 33rd best box art of all time on psdtut.com’s list of Top 40 Video Game Covers of All Time. Check out the full list here. Do you think TFU’s box art is that good?

Haden Blackman, project lead for Star Wars: The Force Unleashed, has made it to number 20 on EDGE magazine’s list of Hot 100 Developers of 2009. While TFU may not have been the game many were hoping it to be, it still delivered an epic story to bridge the two trilogies in a way we could not have imagined. Blackman and the rest of the TFU writers also shared a Writer’s Guild Award for best videogame story. Congrats Haden!

LucasArts’ Star Wars: The Force Unleashed and staff Haden Blackman, Shawn Pitman, John Stafford and Cameron Suey claimed the top spot for videogame writing at the 2009 Writers Guild Awards. You can check out the full list of winners at the WGA site.

Today LucasArts released new downloadable content for The Force Unleashed on Xbox Live and Playstation Network. This consists of a new level titled “The Secret Apprentice” in which the apprentice travels to the Jedi Temple on Coruscant to learn more about his father. If that wasn’t enough, a costume pack has been bundled with the level, adding several new outfits for the apprentice as well as new appearances altogether. If you still want more outfits to choose from, a standalone pack has also been released, adding even more new appearances.
